Purple Knight Society
Students who have served as student ambassadors become members of the Purple Knight Society upon graduation. Student Ambassadors are the public faces of UB, and showcase the university to potential students and their families. Student Ambassadors build school pride, practice outstanding communication, and help to grow UB’s bright future.
Honors Program
The Honors Program at University of Bridgeport provides a dynamic, challenging, and supportive environment for highly motivated students of exceptional academic achievement. The Honors Program is built around four core areas: Community Building, Personal & Professional Development, Service, and Cultural Exploration.
Academic honors
Candidates for graduation who have completed at least 60 semester hours of academic course work at University of Bridgeport in their junior and senior years are eligible for honors upon recommendation of the appropriate College faculty. A minimum of 45 semester hours are required for candidates in associate degree programs. The following standards are used:

*Latin honors are based on Fall 2024 grades and will remain as indicated at the close of Fall 2024 grades.
Award ceremonies
Candidates participating in award ceremonies will receive invitations via email from their designated program.
